Reality killed the TV ad

Is there anybody wondering why advertised products always look better on TV or in the newspapers than in our hands? If yes, you should probably make an effort and graduate the fifth grade. Lets be real, who would expect a product better or nicer than in the ad?

One case here is the fast food industry. All of us tried it at some point. So, all of us know that the TV ad burger is like a Rolls Royce of burgers, while we receive the equivalent of a second hand, 10 years old Ford. No one really complains about it, as I guess it is a calculated risk for us, the consumers. We’re used to it.

Did you tried to return your burger because its not as in the picture? Beside the fact that fast food companies covered this small lie pretty well by some smart statements, you would probably end up in the news as the moron that asked for the exact same product as in the ad.

Nevertheless, this is the sad truth about advertising. It pleases you, entertains you, creates lust for something – just to make you take out the cash. Afterwards, it is always a smaller or bigger disappointment.
